1. Christmas Gnome Brownie Bites

These little gnomes might be too cute to eat! All you’ll need are some Compliments Madeleine Brownie Bites, white chocolate baking chips, a carton of fresh strawberries, and some puff cereal. You’ll start by melting the white chocolate and spreading some on the top of the brownie and down one side to create the beard. Then, you wash and cut the tops off the strawberries to make the hat. Finish your design with a puff for the nose. Just pop them in the refrigerator to let the white chocolate set. You’ll definitely want to bring these gnomes for the holidays.

2. Melting Snowman Cookies

If thoughts of spring are already dancing through your head, these melting snowman cookies will remind you that warmer temperatures are only a few months away. Start by creating your favourite sugar cookie recipe and royal icing. Once done, the fun begins! Frost your cookie and be generous. The drips running down the side only make the melting more realistic. Then, grab some regular marshmallows and cut those in half for the head. Use regular or mini-size M&Ms, sprinkles, or candy-coated chocolate to decorate the face, arms, and accessories. Get the kids involved, and the whole process will melt your heart.

3. Sleeping Teddies Pastry

‘Twas the night before Christmas when all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a bear. With just three simple ingredients, these pastries act as a darling little bed for teddy bear graham crackers. Start by cutting frozen puff pastry into six or more rectangles. Then, you’ll place a piece of chocolate at the top that the bear will rest their head on like a pillow. Fold the bottom half of the pastry over to make a blanket for the bear, and use a fork to seal the edges. Bake for about 8-12 minutes at 176°C (350°F). It’s the perfect snack to encourage staying tucked in bed the night before Christmas.

Plate of snowman bark

4. Snowman Bark

Use the baking pantry staples already in your kitchen to make this easy seasonal bark. Start by melting some chocolate chips and spreading the chocolate evenly on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Then, add three white chocolate melts or Compliments Mini White Marshmallows to create the snowmen. The best part is then decorating them with whatever you have available. Think pretzel pieces or sticks for the arms, Smarties or Reese’s Pieces for the coal, Reese’s minis for the hat, orange sprinkles for the carrot nose, and white sprinkles to create snowy scenery. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or until hard, cut up the bark, and enjoy!

5. Reindeer Peanut Butter Cups

Sweet, salty, and simple! Start assembling your reindeer by cutting mini pretzels in half for the antlers. Stick the ends of the antlers in mini peanut butter cups (removing the wrapping before you start). Then, melt some chocolate to become the adhesive for the eyes and nose. Once the chocolate is piped on, add the candy eyes and a mini red M&M for the nose. Pour yourself a glass of milk as the chocolate sets and do your best to share some with the rest of the family.
