- block extra firm tofu, drained

Directions
Step 1
Tear tofu into 2-inch chunks and place in a heat-safe bowl. Bring water to a boil in a saucepan; stir in salt until dissolved and pour over the tofu. Let stand for 5 minutes. Drain.
Step 2
Line a baking sheet with two clean kitchen towels. Spread tofu on half of the towels; fold over the other remaining kitchen towel half, pressing to dry.
Step 3
In another bowl, stir together 4 tsp oil, soy sauce, chili crisp and salt. Add tofu, stirring to coat. Place cornstarch in another bowl; add the marinated tofu, stirring to coat.
Step 4
Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (375°F). Add tofu and cook until browned and crispy, about 10 minutes. Brush with 2 tsp of the remaining oil and air fry for 2 minutes.
Step 5
In a clean bowl, stir together chili crisp, agave and the remaining olive oil. Add hot tofu, stirring to coat.
Step 6
To serve, transfer to a plate and top with toasted sesame seeds, green onions and more chili crisp if desired.
